On March 30, as part of International Zero Waste Day, an “Environmental Cleanup Event” was held in Samsun under the leadership of the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change.
The event, held at Batıpark, was supported by the Ondokuz Mayıs University Environmental Issues Application and Research Center, the Environmental Community, and the OMÜ Foundation College, which participated with a large number of attendees.
The program included speeches by Deputy Governor Kemal Yıldız, Provincial Director of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change Tevfik Akçay, Director of the OMU Environmental Problems Application and Research Center Prof. Dr. Nurdan Gamze Turan, Head of the Department of Environmental Engineering Prof. Dr. Feryal Akbal, Head of the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Department Ali Tülümen, as well as students from the Environmental Society and OMÜ Foundation College.
