
As part of the “Deniz Yıldızı 11” talks organized by the Ondokuzmayıs Atakum Branch of the Association for Supporting Contemporary Life (ÇYDD), an online event titled “Artificial Intelligence and Climate Change: Environmental Risks, Opportunities and Future Perspective” was held.
The speaker of the talk was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hülya Aykaç Özen, an academic at Ondokuz Mayıs University, who also serves as Deputy Director of ÇEVSAM and Deputy Coordinator of Sustainability and Digitalization.
During the event, the role of artificial intelligence technologies in combating climate change, the opportunities they offer in terms of environmental sustainability, and the potential risks they may bring were discussed. Participants had the opportunity to listen to current evaluations on the effects of artificial intelligence on environmental management, resource efficiency, and climate policies.
The talk, which attracted great interest, ended with participants sharing their questions and opinions.
