In order to leave a green and livable world to future generations, Ondokuz Mayıs University Environmental Problems Application and Research Center, Women and Society Application and Research Center, Environmental Engineering Department and the Environmental Society organized the 'Tree and Sapling Planting Event'.
The event held at OMÜ Aksu Pond; Environmental Problems Research and Application Center Director Prof. Dr. Nurdan Gamze Turan, Director of Women and Society Application and Research Center Prof. Dr. Mucize Ünlü, Head of Environmental Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Feryal Akbal, many academicians, administrative staff and students from different departments attended.
100 saplings were planted in the event organized with the aim of contributing to the development of green tissue on the way to becoming a sustainable university, increasing awareness towards the environment and raising awareness against climate change.
The event ended with planting saplings and giving life water to the planted saplings.
