Waste 360: Recover and Transform

As part of the International Zero Waste Day, the project ''Waste 360: Recover and Transform'' was launched to help raise environmental awareness. Supported under the Youth Services General Directorate’s University Student Communities Cooperation and Support Program (ÜNİDES), the project was carried out under the coordination of the university’s Environment Community. The program, held in the Engineering Faculty Conference Hall, was attended by Deputy Governor Kemal Yıldız, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Çetin Kurnaz, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Yıldıray Topcu, Samsun Provincial Director of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Tevfik Akçay, as well as academics and students. The event began with an opening speech by Berfin Sever, President of the Environment Community. This was followed by a presentation from the Environment Community Advisor, Head of the Department of Environmental Engineering and Director of ÇEVSAM, Prof. Dr. Nurdan Gamze Turan, who provided information about the university’s ongoing work on waste management, sustainability and zero waste.
